Handcrafted & Precision-Made Designer Furniture

We create purpose-built furniture that balances craft traditions with modern production techniques. Each commission is treated as a small architectural project: material selection, structural detailing, finishing and joinery are planned to deliver enduring performance and a considered aesthetic. Our studio handles one-off commissions, limited designer runs and small-batch manufacturing for boutiques and interior projects. Sustainability is embedded in material choices, repairability, and packaging decisions so pieces last longer and circulate responsibly.

  • • Studio-grade joinery and CNC-assisted precision
  • • Locally-sourced timbers and certified supplies
  • • Prototyping, finishing and on-site installation

Why Our Pieces Stand Apart

Design intelligence, material integrity and production clarity.

Design-Led Manufacturing

We marry conceptual design with manufacturability from the outset. Early-stage design remains close to production constraints so critical details like tenon proportions, lamination orders and board orientation are optimised before tooling begins. This reduces waste, shortens development cycles, and allows us to scale from prototype to small-run manufacture with predictable quality. Rather than treating production as an afterthought, our process treats the production method as a design parameter: we select joints, fasteners and assembly sequences that contribute to the object's character while ensuring longevity and repairability.

Material Stewardship & Traceability

Every timber selection is made with clarity about origin, processing and end-of-life. We work with suppliers who document chain-of-custody and who provide reclaimed and certified options. Where possible we re-purpose offcuts into small accessory pieces, turning what would be waste into product. Finishes are chosen for durability and repairability—matte oil systems, waterborne topcoats and waxes that can be refreshed in the field. This approach reduces the embodied carbon of each piece and makes it simpler to repair, re-finish or re-purpose in decades to come.

Precision & Hand-Finish

Precision starts with accurate digital files and continues through jigged assembly and careful hand finish. CNC machining guarantees repeatable complex joinery while hand-fitting and final sanding restore humanity to the surface. This hybrid approach allows clean, modern profiles alongside empathetic material handling: slight chamfers, sanded grain transitions and hand-wiped oils that develop a patina with use. Each piece is inspected at defined checkpoints: rough machining, fit assembly, finish application and final QA—so clients receive pieces that are both precise and tactilely pleasing.

End-to-End Project Coordination

For interior projects we coordinate with designers, installers and logistics partners to ensure pieces arrive and are installed with minimal fuss. Shop drawings, mockups and installation guides are provided, plus on-site supervision when required. For commercial projects we align deliveries to fit-out schedules, supply installation crews with all required fixings, and offer return/repair windows to support warranty work. This coordination reduces client risk and integrates our production smoothly into larger fit-out timelines.

Customer Collaboration & Iteration

Transparency is central: clients see a development timeline, material samples and mid-stage photographs so decisions are informed. Iterative prototyping—digital mockups and small physical samples—allows rapid feedback cycles. We embrace co-creation: many pieces emerge from close collaboration with interior designers, architects and end users, balancing stylistic intent with technical robustness. That process builds confidence and ensures the final object aligns with functional and aesthetic expectations.

Longevity & Repairability

We design to be repaired rather than replaced. Accessible fastenings, replaceable wear components, and finish systems that can be renewed are specified so pieces age gracefully. This philosophy saves resources over time and benefits clients who view furniture as an investment rather than a disposable commodity. We provide care guides and will refurbish or refinish pieces on a service schedule to extend useful life and preserve value.

workshop and team

Studio Story — Craft, Design and Responsible Production

Our studio began as a modest joinery operation and evolved into a design-led manufacture studio as demand grew for considered timber products that are both contemporary and durable. Rooted in traditional techniques, our team learned to adapt age-old joinery to modern tolerances using CNC support where repeatability is required. That combination—experienced hands and accurate machines—enables us to deliver pieces that satisfy both architectural briefs and domestic realities.

Sustainability informed our growth: we chose to keep runs small, partner with responsible suppliers, and build a repair-first culture. Our clients include independent designers, boutique retailers and homeowners who prefer distinctive furniture to mass-produced alternatives. We take pride in transparent pricing and clear timelines; every client receives a project schedule, BOM (bill of materials), and a maintenance recommendation to ensure pieces continue to perform as intended.

Beyond production, we invest in community skills by running occasional workshops on finish techniques and maintenance, and by collaborating with local makers for upholstery, metalwork and textile elements. This networked approach enriches our projects and supports a resilient local craft economy.

Services — From Prototype to Installation

Comprehensive studio services to support designers and clients at every scale.

Custom Commissions & One-Offs

We handle unique commissions—tables, cabinets, wall systems, and specialised joinery—providing full design support, material sampling, and finish trials. The process includes an initial consultation, design sketches, scaled mockups if required, and final production with delivery and installation. For complex projects we offer on-site fitting and minor remedial work to guarantee final alignment and finish quality.

Small-Batch Production & Limited Runs

For boutiques and retailers we produce limited edition collections using consistent tolerances and batch numbering. We support small runs with predictable lead times, coordinated packaging, and quality control reports to ensure retail-ready presentation.

Prototyping & Testing

Rapid prototyping services include 1:1 mockups, load testing and finish samples so functional issues are resolved prior to committing to production tooling. This reduces costly revisions and accelerates time-to-delivery for both custom and batch orders.

Refinishing & Repair Services

We refinish worn pieces, replace hardware and restore structural integrity through targeted repairs. Our repair service supports clients who inherit older pieces and wish to extend their life, aligning with our reuse-first philosophy.

Installation & On-Site Adjustment

Installation teams coordinate deliveries, site fixings and final adjustments to ensure pieces sit correctly in-situ. For fitted joinery we provide precise templating and final on-site machining if minor adjustments are required for perfect fit.

Consultancy & Design Partnership

We collaborate with interior designers and architects to solve complex spatial and furnishing challenges—advising on detailing, fixing strategies, and durable material selections that meet both performance and aesthetic criteria.
